Doe Run Peru S.R.L.
Doe Run Peru is a mining and metallurgical company with operations located in the central highlands of Peru. Doe Run Peru owns and operates the La Oroya smelting and refining complex as well as the Cobriza copper mine and is one of the largest companies in the Peruvian central Andes. La Oroya is a uniquely flexible, integrated, poly-metallic metallurgical facility which currently produces 9 high quality products (base metals and minor metals of the future), one commercial grade and eight additional by-products. This facility is one of the few in the world and is unparalleled in its ability to recover by-products and minor metals from lead, copper and zinc concentrates. Since La Oroya is strategically located in the central highlands region of Peru, an area known for its complex polymetallic ores, it is well positioned to greatly benefit from the continued increase in investment in Peruvian mining. The facility was specifically designed for the ores from this region and thus it has the operational flexibility and unique capabilities to recover by-products and free metal from these ores.
