  • Doe Run's Resource Recycling Division and Glover, Missouri, lead smelter are both certified ISO 14001 compliant. ISO 14001 is a set of rigorous environmental standards for a facility's environmental safeguards, procedures, and management systems.

Doe Run Peru S.R.L.

  • Doe Run Peru’s La Oyora complex earned ISO 14001:2004** certification in 2006.

**About ISO 14001: 2004
ISO 14001: 2004 is an internationally recognized environmental management system standard set by the International Standards Organization, concerning what an organization does to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities and achieving continual improvement of its environmental performance. ISO 14001: 2004 outlines several key requirements in its environmental management system. The five major elements are Environmental Policy, Planning, Implementation and Operations, Checking and Corrective Action, and Management Review. Generally, the advantages to be gained through the implementation of ISO 14001: 2004 include risk reduction, cost reductions and competitive advantages. US Magnesium

  • In 2003, the Utah State Legislature issued an official citation honoring US Magnesium for its impressive pollution reduction efforts.
  • US Magnesium received the EPA Climate Protection Award in 2004 for its commitment to eliminate sulfur hexafluoride emissions.

Unarco

  • Unarco won the State of Tennessee Governor's Award for Excellence in Hazardous Waste Management in 1992.
