RG Steel, LLC is the fourth largest flat-rolled steel company in the United States with annualized capacity of 7.5 million tons and offers one of the broadest ranges of flat-rolled products available in North America today. RG Steel comprises the integrated steel plants at Sparrows Point, Md.; Warren, Ohio, and Wheeling, W. Va., the finishing facilities in Yorkville and Martins Ferry, Ohio, and the Wheeling Corrugating Company in Wheeling, W.Va. In addition, RG Steel owns 50 percent of both Mountain State Carbon LLC, a cokemaking facility in Follansbee, W.Va., and Ohio Coatings Company in Yorkville, Ohio.
The company's three steel plants and other facilities are strategically located close to their principal markets. RG Steel's offerings include hot rolled, cold rolled, hot-dip galvanized, galvanized culvert sheets, Galvalume and tin mill products. Markets served include construction, appliance, converter, service center, automotive, container, pipe and tube, and others.

V. John Goodwin Mr. Goodwin has more than 40 years of industry experience including 18 years in senior management roles. He has served as CEO, COO, President, and Special Advisor with a proven track record of driving business performance, operating efficiency, and building strong leadership teams. Mr. Goodwin began his career in steel in 1967 with U.S. Steel. He quickly advanced through positions of increasing responsibility and in 1987 was appointed General Manager of U.S. Steel's flagship plant, Gary Works. Following a 27 year career at U.S. Steel Mr. Goodwin joined National Steel Corporation and was named President and CEO. At the nation's fourth largest integrated steel company Mr. Goodwin spearheaded a turnaround of National Steel with improvements in all aspects of the business. In 2003, Mr. Goodwin joined International Steel Group (ISG) as Chief Operating Officer of the largest domestic steel producer with 15,000 employees. Mr. Goodwin and the executive team at ISG are largely credited with leading the consolidation of the domestic steel industry. Most recently, Mr. Goodwin served as CEO of the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation prior to its acquisition by Severstal North America in 2008. Mr. Goodwin is a native of Long Island, New York. He holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Clarkson College of Technology and an M.B.A. in business administration from Monmouth College. |
